My First Story!! 'Getting Daniel Harsen'

     His eyes are blue as the ocean. His smile, lights up the whole sky. The way he looks at you, you almost faint. I don't know why I'm in love with Daniel Harsen, but no matter what I do, I can't get him off my mind. I try, day after day to stop staring at his beautiful brown hair that falls over his eyes. And when he flips his hair, I don't even worry about possible dandruff flying in to my open, drooling mouth. He's had me hooked ever since the first day of third grade, when I looked at him and knew, I was in love.  
     This isn't good, you know. He distracts me. I can't concentrate on my school work and keep getting terrible grades. Him sitting right next to me doesn't make anything easier. If only I could stop being such a dumb butt and go talk to him, maybe even tell him how I feel. But I know I can't. Not as long as he's with Jessica Reynolds, the most popular girl in school. He long red-blonde hair up to her waste and her dashing grass-green eyes are no competition for my dark brown hair, brown eyes, and freckles. I mean think about it, me, Selena Verooch with Daniel Harsen? Please, No one as popular as him would even want to be known as my acquaintance. Why do boys have to be so complicated!?
     Just as I hear the bell ring Daniel turns his head. His mouth opens and words come out. He's looking at me which means, oh my god he's actually talking to me. What if he asks me to the dance on Friday! This thought is so out of place, once again he has a girlfriend, but I refuse to take it out of my head. I'm so excited and happy that I don't even hear what he's saying.
     "What?" I say.
     "Are you going to the dance on Friday?" Am I seriously hearing what I think I'm hearing?
     "I was going to go, but no one has asked me yet,"
     "Oh, that's too bad. How about-
     "Yeah?"
